2016 Learning Forums

The 2016 Forums attracted a record attendance of over 225 engineering, business professors and 40 participants from industry, government, academia and health and safety associations. The goal? Promote more awareness of health and safety management and ensure it is included in the curricula. The Forums included very lively panel discussions among Minerva’s stakeholders on what is needed to include more Health and Safety in the curricula. It also included presentations on many of Minerva’s Teaching Modules found on this website. as well as how to use them in the classroom.

2015 Learning Forums

  • April 23 – York University for Engineering professors Agenda
  • May 1 – Fanshawe College for Business professors and also hosted by Brock University Agenda
  • June 9 – McGill University for Engineering professors Agenda
  • June 16- Queens University for Engineering professors Agenda

The 2015 Learning Forums concentrated on showcasing some of Minerva’s new Teaching Modules now found on this website. They also included panel discussions with representatives from academia on how they are introducing health and safety into the curricula and some of the challenges that they faced and overcame to do so.
